Vengeance-Wise woman's daughter

"What happened here?" I rushed towards a woman who was cover in soot that was cradling her baby within her arms. She was shivering.

I had rushed to the west end of town having heard a loud blast that created such an energy force which shook the earth and even tore all the trees in the area apart.

The woman's eyes were wide reflecting the fear that was within her.

"What... exactly happened?" I asked in a more soothing manner, carefully patting her baby's forehead to calm its wails.

Only once her child had stopped its tears, she appeared to have finally snapped back into reality.

"Huh? Oh, it's you Ayako-hime. W-haatt are-you-doing here?" she stammered.

"I came back upon hearing the loud thunderous noise coming from the village. Do you know what had happened?"

At the moment I asked that question, her face went blank, her teeth began chattering and the woman dropped onto her knees. Sobbing into her baby's blanket. The realization hit me, something had happened... to my mother. I quickly glanced around the surrounding area. The village was nothing but burning brush houses and broken equipment and homes, with dirt scattered everywhere. My mother was no where in sight.

My mother was the village wise woman. She provides all the medicinal herbs required by the towns people as well as creates effective and nutritious medicines. And as I was raised, I could always 'sense' her whenever she was in the village. I was born with this ability. An ability to 'sense' the emotions of people who are closely related to me, either friends or family. This uncanny ability of mine has always enabled me to understand the people I aid better and allows me to make the best of the situation.

But right now... I could not sense my mother anyway.

My eyes coldly looked at the woman weeping below me.

"Who did this?"

"A g-gi-rl.... she came to see your mother early this morning after being called for. I heard that she had some kind of mental illness. Everyone was to afraid to see her but I... I... saw her. She looked very pale and weak. Not scary like the rumors had said. Although she was pale, she was very beautiful with auburn brown hair and bright blue eyes.

Nothing scary about her at all.... atleast.... I thought... " the woman meekly said.

I gritted my teeth in anger for I knew who exacty this was. The cursed assasin who served king Trosm in the royal family.

"Chayera," I growled and raced off to the Melody Forest, where my mother's hut was located.

My recollection of Melody Forest dates back since my birth, showered with flourishing wildlife and plants, even a pure lake that's water shimmered. Fishes swimming happily within it and smooth pebbles glimmering at it's base. Flowers of tulips, roses and simple dandelions swaying to the voice of the wind. A place of perfect harmony and joy.

I continued running to the Forest, passing under it's old wooden creaked fort entrance and into Vocaloid cave. A cave that signified to trekkers that they were travelling on the correct route to Melody Forest. I chased the light at the end of the cave.

The huge blast of light that scorched into my tired eyes, sent a strong force into my body, resulting in temporary unstableness. When I finally regained my concentration, I seeked my mother's hut, which usually welcomed any visiting travellers with a warm homely presence. However, what I saw was something I hadn't expected...
